Appuntamento a Bruxelles per presentare il Piano di Azione

Insieme al Ministero degli Affari Esteri e l’International Disability and Development Consortium, la RIDS ha organizzato un incontro per presentare il Piano di Azione sulla disabilità e cooperazione il 26 maggio 2014. Come suggerisce il titolo stesso dell’incontro, l’obiettivo è quello di scambiare buone prassi e affrontare insieme le difficoltà a livello europeo.

Presenti per il Ministero il Direttore Generale della Cooperazione allo Sviluppo il Min. Giampaolo Cantini, e la dott.ssa Lomuscio, focal point sul Piano di Azione. Per la RIDS interverrà Giampiero Griffo, DPI mentre l’IDDC modererà l’evento insieme alla Rappresentanza permanente Italiana a Bruxelles.

Ci si confronterà con rappresentanti di ONG del Nepal, della cooperazione allo sviluppo tedesca, del Forum europeo sulla disabilità e della Commissione Europea.

 Presenting the Italian Development Cooperation Disability Action Plan: Sharing good national practices, overcoming challenges at EU level

In July 2013 the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate-General for Development Cooperation adopted

an action plan on disability and inclusive development to ensure the full and effective implementation of the
UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as to set the right framework to ensure the
Italian Development’ efforts reaches the most vulnerable and marginalised worldwide.
The objective of this meeting is to share good practices with other Members States as well as with key EU
institutions to encourage the debate on disability and inclusive development at times where international
discussions are taking place on the Post-2015 development agenda.
